Recording: How will the IR35 policy changes affect me?

Are you ready for April’s tax changes? Join our January broadcast and find out how the IR35 changes affect you.

If you’re self-employed and UK-based, you’re probably already be aware of the IR35 legislation change that could affect the way you pay tax, and how much of it at that.  The new IR35 rules will result in an increased tax and N.I. liability and will prevent contractor companies from retaining profits to grow their business in the future. Following George Osbourne’s Autumn announcement, new IR35 rules will come into being in April 2017.

According to Contractor Weekly, “The general point of IR35 is to stop those who act like and are treated like employees pretending that they aren’t, therefore having the right to all the tax breaks that those working under limited companies receive. This is the core idea behind the term, a ‘disguised employee’.”  So, are you in or outside of IR35?

Watch the recording of our broadcast where guest presenter Andrew Chamberlain, Deputy Director of Policy and External Affairs with IPSE (The Association of Independent Professionals and the Self Employed) talked us through the IR35 changes in more detail and providing clarity on how this could affect you, the independent consultant.

Don’t miss this chance to get yourself up to speed. Watch today and get yourself prepared for legislation changes.
