An engineer by education, a product marketing manager by role and an expert at achieving growth by career. That’s what Talmix consultant Stefano journey to independent consulting has included. We speak to Stefano to understand more about why clients choose him to deliver direction and success within their organisations.
Stefano is changing the way many start-ups and small businesses see themselves – and he’s doing that through helping them identify and implement their own growth strategies. With a wealth of experience within the telecoms and tech worlds, Stefano started his career within Product Marketing Management, seeing him eventually grow towards strategic marketing positions. He’s never quite been someone to stay stagnant, which is probably the reason why Stefano decided to complete his Executive MBA with the London Business School, after quite a few years in the corporate world.

Not only does Stefano understand the corporate world, but he has also been heavily involved in the crowdfunding space alongside the start-up businesses he has worked with and it was as a result of his helping Megatron – an Italian-formed Heat Sensor production company, that his own consulting company Eggcelerate, was born. A small consulting firm covering several consulting services, Stefano, together with a network of consultants, is able to deliver core business services to post-seed start-up businesses, or established firms with between £1million and £10million turnover within the B2B sector.
“My area of expertise is commercial strategy. That means that clients choose me to help them identify the right business targets, client-base, sales channels and to build the right business proposition. When you undertake a project like this, it’s important that you have a certain level of organisation and process in place to support your strategy. That’s where my team and I come in”, he says.
In Stefano’s case, having a technical and engineering background as well as a strategic commercial outlook means that clients who are looking for someone who is truly able to understand their environment, get what they need through Stefano’s ability to perform cross-functionally. “I think it’s important to invest in and define a strategy – but not in overthinking. If you invest too much in strategy, you risk becoming bound to it and become less agile, meaning you may miss an opportunity”.
With a good mix of practical execution alongside theoretical strategy, Stefano always ensures that, on any project he undertakes, his clients’ interests become his own. Clients who work with him will have a consultant who is focussed on increasing their business – with their customer’s customer being at the centre of what he does, and by delivering measurable results. And his commitment to his clients’ results is evident in the way he runs his own business. “I want to be different. My own pricing strategy is always achievement-based. For me, it’s about delivering results – and not about the amount of time I take to deliver them. The sooner I deliver results, the better it is for my client”, he says.
