At Talmix, to celebrate International Women's Day 2023, we're highlighting both the inspirational women who make up our global talent network, and the incredible women who make up our own team around the world.
Today, we talk to Talmix Customer Success Associate Sakshi Mehta about her career so far, and what International Women's Day means to her.
1. What does International Women’s Day mean for you?
It’s a day to celebrate women and girls all around the world! A reminder to increase efforts to empower, acknowledge and honour contributions made by women close to us.
2. What piece of advice would you give to build more gender-equal workplaces?
Having women in Leadership positions would build more gender-equal workplaces. Getting rid of the gender pay gap, giving equal opportunities to women when recruiting for positions and providing more work-life balance/benefits for mothers (like they do in Singapore) all can lead to more gender–equal workplaces.
3. What do you enjoy about your role here at Talmix?
I enjoy networking with people and helping them in their journey! I really appreciate that everyone is supportive, highly motivating and recognises efforts. It’s a great environment to learn and work in.
4. If you could have dinner with one inspirational woman, dead or alive, who would they be and why?
Nirmala Sitharaman- Finance Minister of India – winning the elections, she was given a ministerial position in the cabinet. She’s truly inspirational and a strong leader – it would be great to have her views on certain topics and be motivated by her success as well..
