Background & Objectives

You will lead a small innovation team (cell) to build a specific product developed from customer insights. This will require you to supplement your teams knowledge with subject matter experts where required to accelerate the process of learning and improvement.

Once your team's product has proven potential you will hand it over to company's core businesses or set up as standalone business. You will then move to the next cell, either as the cell lead or as a team member.

Key deliverables

 Pitching the concept to the innovation leadership team
 Deliver cell targets within specified timelines
 Budget responsibility of the cell
 Align any major changes of the cell with the innovation leadership team
 Develop and refine new business opportunity to start a small pilot implementation
 Set up first rough business case, required funding and project plan for the cell
 Build and manage the cell team, using external partners as required
 Report on progress of cell, escalating delays to leadership
 Document learnings from the cell, especially customer feedback

Consultant requirements

 Several years of operational project management experience
 A high desire to innovate and to drive high-level ideas to concrete first results.
 Forward thinking/big picture/visionary; you are a free thinker, willing to experiment, fail and move on. You embrace data-driven experimentation, adapt quickly and make iterative decisions
 International experience to engage with a global organization is a plus
 Ability to communicate effectively on different levels within the organisation and with external partners
 Analytical, conceptual and team energizing skills
 Good problem-solving, team-working and conflict management skills
 Highly motivated and proactive
 Ability to adapt to a changing environment, including changing roles
 Experience and willingness to proactively influence organisational change
 Fluent in English, knowledge of Dutch and/or German would be an advantage
