Background & Objectives

We are a large conglomerate with many separate businesses and service offerings across the UK and Europe.

We have done an excellent job at analyzing opportunities from a financial rate of return perspective however now need to unify our portfolio of products and develop a clear strategy based on the market needs driving the business units.

The client are looking to assess the market needs within the SME market and b2b services that would usually be associated with larger resource-rich companies.

Key deliverables

To work with the corporate strategy team for 4 months developing the initial research piece and then potentially a further 4 months implementing them.

The output for the first phase would be the outline of a clear strategy that unifies the portfolio of services and bases their forward looking activity on clearly defined market needs.

Consultant requirements

A junior-mid level strategy consultant (up to 10 years' experience) to collaborate with an experienced strategy consultant.

A former first tier strategy background or marketing consultant with a proven experience of developing strategies for a portfolio of products.

Experience in B2B strategy development ideally focused on SMEs

Ability to work near Liverpool for 2 to 3 days per week and the rest remotely,

A clear self starter who wont get lost in the weeds and can independently develop a clear way forward.
