Objectives and Key Deliverables
We are a fast growing FMCG company based in the UK and are in the process of expanding into the Chinese market.
We currently have some distribution over there but want to expand further.
We are looking to engage with a consultant who can help us to develop an expansion strategy into China.
The initial portion of this project will be to work with the client to develop a report for the Directors of the company to kick off the project. Once the project kicks off, the consultant will be required for up to 18 months to work with the company on this project.
The project would include (but is not limited to):
-reviewing the current sales and distribution channels used and recommendations how to optimize it
-analyze what the quickest route to market for the company is, while still maintaining their brand integrity and pricing
-investigate and recommend how to launch additional products in the market, given a short shelf-life for the products
>Experience helping and FMCG company enter a new market
>At least 3 years' experience in a top tier consulting firm
>Experience or an understanding of some of the legislative issues with working in China (not in-depth knowledge of them, but the consultant must be aware of some of the issues)
>Experience working in China or South East Asia is ideal
The initial project is to work with the client to develop a report for the Board. This will go towards getting the project kicked off.
Once the project is kicked off, the consultant will be required for up to 18 months of support for the project (the exact timeline for the project will be discussed once the report is given to the board).
