Background & Objectives
We are a manufacturing company running a transformation process in our factories. We're looking for an experienced operations/manufacturing consultant to drive this programme.
The transformation programme will revolve around cost savings and efficiencies across our factories (all of which are in the UK).
This will include putting processes in place to improve tracking and reporting, reducing waste and improving efficiencies, and driving actions towards our targets.
The consultant will be required to travel around the UK to visit our factories, as well as spending some time in our headquarters near the London area.
By the end of the project, we would expect to have finalized a manufacturing efficiency plan and quickly work it through to implementation.
A large part of this role (at least 60%) is on the implementation side.
> 8-15 years' experience
> on-the-ground experience in a manufacturing/production facilities (ideally of consumer goods/food)
> 2-5 years' experience with a top tier consulting firm
> Core skills in operations/manufacturing optimization and project management
> Pragmatic doer ->much of this role is very hands on
This role will require travel to the various factories around the UK. Approximately 20-40% of the role will be in the head office around the London area. The remainder will be spent traveling and working in the factories.
This project will kick off in January, with a decision made about the consultant in December.
