Objectives and Key Deliverables

Our client are global food brokers between European countries and producers and major UK clients.Our client now has exclusive rights to a new food product which is going to be a new product in the UK and they aim to market this to the major UK Supermarkets and food services distributors (which they already have connections into). The client also has all of the corresponding rights for the product to be distributed to and in the UK. The client has four nascent business lines: chocolate, charcuterie, olive oil and liquid tomato.The client has considered but rejected the idea of offering the product as a retailer’s own label product. Instead, they wish to launch it as a branded product to the leading supermarkets.

We need Proposals based on the below requirements submitted to us by Monday Morning at the very latest. This proposal will need to include how much time you think this might take, and how much you can complete the project for in GBP £.In the clients words:"We now need a plan to execute our ambition. And, yes, we believe that we know who to contact at most of the supermarkets.We need to decide on a brand, a brand name, corresponding graphics, how we pitch the product to the buyers (the first thing every supermarket buyer will do is to attempt to get one of their existing suppliers to manufacture it), lock down our logistical arrangements (no small matter for a short life product which will need to be delivered at least three times a week to the supermarkets from a Spanish location all of two days away). We shall also need to see how we project ourselves in marketing and media terms on a limited budget. The product launch (once on the shelves) will require some form of introductory promotion – that, too, will need planning as we shall have to consider our pricing policy given that the High Street is riddled with promotional campaigns for most products throughout the year." There is a lot more information available to you once you have submitted a draft proposal.
