Objectives and Key Deliverables

We are looking for a data driven analyst to support in our strategy process. This consultant will establish a strategic market, competitor and customer analysis toolset and support a strategy review and setting process with the executive team of an Australian B2B products and service provider ($1b).

Work scope:
•Market size, share and growth analysis
•Competitor financial statement analysis (key financial metric analysis)
•Competitor capability mapping
•Competitor strategic outlook synthesis (from company announcements, industry commentary)
•Customer sentiment analysis and success drivers
•Customer share analysis

Work context:
•Duration: about 2-3 months contract (potential to turn into permanent/ongoing)
•For immediate start
•Office at Mascot, Sydney
•Work with ELT and senior leaders (easy-going, approachable environment)
•Report directly to Vice President IT and Strategy

Desired profile:
•Senior analyst at heart
•2 years+ experience at top consulting firm or top investment bank
•Advanced large data gathering and modelling skills (PowerPivot, Macros, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
•Experience in linking data from different internal and external sources (public data e.g. ABS, Salesforce.com, SAP BW, MS BI etc.)
•Easy going with interviewing internal stakeholders/experts to collect qualitative and quantitative inputs
•Ability to develop strategic analysis and rationales
•Slide writing skills
•Effective, self-starter
