Objectives and Key Deliverables

We are a German PE fund with a focus on start-up businesses in important high-tech sectors of various industries: biotechnology, medical devices, material and clean technology, information technology and automation engineering with a portfolio of 25 current investments.

For one of our portfolios we are currently seeking an:

Interim Senior Product Manager

The Company:
The portfolio company is focusing on selective purification of liquid media based on ligands. The company has a patented technology which provides a flexible and focused approach to the development of advanced, high-performance chromatographic phases, making it the faster and more economical alternative to traditional purification processes in many fields. The multimodal phases allow a much wider use of chromatography and can be tailored to the specific task.

In summary, the benefits of the technology can be summarized as follows:
- High selectivity leads to the separation of structurally very similar compounds
- High binding constants allow binding of low-concentration components
- High process variability due to different solvents, pH ranges and plants
- High productivity due to high loadability and high flow rates
- High stability and durability in industrial application

The portfolio company has developed several effective products for the removal of heavy metals and the killing of bacteria. There are 4-5 users from the field of white goods (Asia / USA / DE) interested in an application and are currently sampling the goods.

Project Task:
- Lead and accompany the sampling process as key contact for the interested users, incl. availability, negotiations, pricing, etc
- Develop a business plan for the products and additional applications
- Create a Master Portfolio / Marketing Plan
- Develop and implement a sales roadmap


Requirements:
- Experienced sales & business development expert with a proven track record
- Sound commercial knowledge (incl. but not limited to contract creation/negotiation, licensing, pricing)
- Effective communicator and highly motivated professional
- Project implementation expert with solid track record

Start date: ASAP

Location: Mannheim, Germany
