Objectives and Key Deliverables
We operate four festivals every year on Gloucestershire. These span jazz, science, literature and music. We are one of the leading cultural organisations in the UK.
We are run by a team of over 50 and have an annual turnover of over £5 million. 40% of this is generated through ticket sales.
We are looking for an Interim Director of Marketing and Communications. This is for the period from now, until the end of the year. There is obviously the chance that we would invite the interim candidate to stay on after the interim period, if they turn out to be the right candidate for the perm position.
The Director of Marketing and Communications is a pivotal role for the company, marketing all of the Festivals and the Education programme as well as the corporate brand. The Director is part of the Senior Management Board and reports to the CEO. Having just completed the 5 year strategy the new Director will lead a step change in the approach to marketing at the company. Key changes this year will be embedding digital communications and a change of focus to illuminate the depth and breadth of content that we provide as well as working with new innovative content aimed at both new and core audiences. The Director of Marketing and Communications is the brand guardian and an advocate for excellence in customer service and all representation of the company.
