Objectives and Key Deliverables

We are looking for an interim Chief People Officer to help us grow and develop our team, our processes, our company and our impact. People are at the heart of this role. We are a talent development company, and that starts with the people who work with us.

There is potential that this position will be extended longer term past the initial interim period.

In the role you will:

• Put in place best-in-class people acquisition strategies, so that we continue to attract the very best talent. Be responsible for a finely-tuned hiring process that is personal, efficient and always improving. From first contact with candidates, right through to their first day at work, new staff deserve an experience that sets them up to succeed.

• Own talent learning and development. We give our community a pioneering experience to help them progress in their careers. We want to ensure we do the same for our own internal team.

• Manage all other people aspects of the business. From performance reviews, to salary reviews, reporting lines, pensions, perks, HR policies, OKRs, and a culture that puts learning and growth front and centre.

• Managing our internal communications to ensure the team is well informed, know what is expected of them, and collaborate brilliantly across the company.

• Work closely with our finance team to ensure we plan, invest, make savings, analyse and report in a way that fuels growth.

• Be responsible for our HQ studio to ensure it is a great physical environment to work in, that embodies our company values and is a hub for our community.

• Significant experience of people-led operations role, ideally in a fast growing startup of over 40 people.

• A track record of implementing innovative ideas to acquire significant numbers of new talent at pace, without sacrificing quality.

• Experience of working, developing and getting the best out of creative people.

• The ability to have difficult conversations with compassion, to inspire, to lead, to get things done - all before lunch time.

• The character required to do well in this role - integrity, energy, resilience, resourcefulness, creativity, confidence, hunger and calmness under pressure.

• Most of all, a genuine passion for our mission and fit with our values.
