A very short (2/3 days) research into
cost-base of a luxury stationery business. This analysis will form part of the
business plan and will help to shape production vs outsourcing decisions .A
smart and eager analyst/associate with consulting background will be an ideal
1. 1. Analysis of key cost factors,
focused on equipment, inputs (paper, ink), labour & utilities costs
required for different stationery production techniques. For each technique you
will focus on types of equipment & other inputs, purchase costs,
maintenance costs, operating requirements, production capacity. You will also
need to identify 2-3 potential suppliers.
2. 2. A simple excel model, which
allows to see the economics for a certain portfolio of products
3. If information is available: quick summary of P&L
drivers in luxury printing industry, inlcuding cost & revenue drivers in %,
margin in %. Any trends in profitability and production.
