Background & Objectives

The
Role

The Customer Implementation Team,
within the Operations Department, is core to the business and a key element of
our success. Our small but growing team is responsible for leading client
implementations an platform/product development initiatives to provide the
innovative solutions demanded by our clients, while ensuring we deliver to the
demanding SLA’s. A key requirement of the team as a whole is to be business
focused, flexible and capable of meeting the demands of a fast moving industry
and business.

 We are now looking for an experienced and
ambitious Project Management professional to lead a number of large scale and
critical client projects.

 The key responsibilities of this
position will be to:

-         
Govern
a critical set of technology projects with multiple work-streams in support of
major build out of our payments platforms.

-         
Manage
complex time-critical schedules, keeping on top of multiple dependencies.

-         
Coordinate
activities of relevant resources and sub-contractor/partners.

-         
Effectively
manage communications with the clients multi-national delivery team spread across 3
continents.

-         
Report
progress to ensure that projects/work-streams are delivered on time and within
budget.

Recommend efficient resolutions to issues and
conflicts arising out of project delivery.

Requirements

 The successful candidate will be a
self-starter with a proven history of delivering successful projects.

 The key requirement is a can-do
attitude, ensuring a high quality of work commensurate with the high
availability nature of the business, and a keen interest in learning new
technologies and quickly mastering them.

 Minimum
Qualifications / Experience:

-         
Minimum
of 5 years of Project Management experience, preferably within the payments
industry.

-         
Extensive
track-record of successful delivery of critical projects either within
application/system integration space or new application/platform deployments.

-         
Extensive
experience in sub-contractor/delivery partner management.

-         
Demonstrable
experience in the management of multi-location and multi-national teams.

-         
Demonstrable
awareness of the key components and parties involved in the payments industry.

-         
Formal
Project Management or Programme Management training and certification (e.g.
PRINCE2).

results driven business environment.

Excellent
interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with authority both
verbally and in writing.

capabilities to tailor your communication regardless of whether you are
addressing a C-level executive or development teams.

client relationship management skills.

High
level of corporate awareness, ability to understand the wider business context
and demonstrate a commitment to supporting cross-organisational activities.

Ability
to listen and understand information and to interpret stakeholder and customer
needs.

A
flexible and adaptable attitude with the ability to multi-task, i.e. simultaneously
work on different projects, and respond quickly to changing priorities.

-         
Excellent
problem solving skills with the ability to analyse complex situations and make sound
recommendations for decision making.

-         
You
will have a strong awareness of delivery methodologies such as PRINCE2 but
adopt a pragmatic approach to delivery management and call on formal
methodology tools as and when required.

 

The role may also include some national and international
travel so it will be necessary for the successful candidate to be willing and
flexible to meet these requirements.
