Background & Objectives

High-level Project description Content: Still to be
defined in detail, but in general could be defined as follows Phase I: Fashion e-commerce business models benchmark [3
weeks] §  Benchmark different fashion e-commerce business models (full-price
stores, product aggregators / lead generators, flash sales, etc.) from
developed countries (US, UK, DE, etc)§  Make special emphasis in those that have been launched by media
companies§  Assess their fit with the clients portfolio of magazines and website,
and recommend which one/s would be more interesting to pursue Phase II: Business Plan of selected Fashion Business
Model§  Create a full-fledged business plan of the selected alternative from the
Phase I study (3-5y financials, product & marketing strategy, etc.)§  Include an action plan with a Gantt Chart of steps to follow in order to
reach market launch Duration: Still
to-be-determined, but around 2-3months§  Note the project might stop for 1 week between Phases I and II, as the
decision of which business model to pursue is being made by the client   

Key deliverables

4-8 years of work experience in the following fields:§  Top management consulting firm (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Oliver Wyman, AT Kearney, Monitor, etc.) for at least 2 years§  E-commerce for at least 2 years§  Ideally experience in the fashion world too§  Startup experience would be a plus§  Work experience (specially the e-commerce part) should be in developed EU / US markets§  MBA from a top school would be a plus§  Fluent in English§  Must be based in the EUIN REGARDS TO E-COMMERCE EXPERIENCE, THE CLIENT IS LOOKING FOR A CONSULTANT WHO HAS WORKED WITHIN THE E-COMMERCE SECTOR FOR AN ORGANISATION WITHIN THIS AREA FOR A MINIMUM OF 2 YEARS.  THIS MUST BE CLEARLY EVIDENT FROM YOUR RESUME.  THE CLIENT WILL NOT CONSIDER A CONSULTANT WHO HAS ONLY WORKED FOR A FIRM WHO CONSULT INTO THE E-COMMERCE SECTOR.
