Objectives and Key Deliverables

We are a private equity firm with $1.5 billion in committed capital. We make control investments in middle-market businesses in the manufacturing, industrial, distribution, and consumer sectors. We design and execute a customized value creation plan for each acquisition that seeks to generate significant cash flow and improve earnings within 12 to 18 months of investment. Since the firm was formed in 2005, we have grown from three founders to a firm of over 40 professionals.

We seek a Vice President with Supply Chain Expertise to support the Operating Team. The ideal candidate will have:
 A proven track record of unlocking company value through partnering with management teams to implement reporting, institute operational controls, and maximize business efficiency
 The ability to set up a supply chain function from scratch with a particular focus on the SIOP process and procurement
 The ability to quickly understand the primary drivers of a variety of businesses, diagnose problems through the financials, and think through solutions, in a context of private equity investing
 Strong communication skills, including the ability to influence and garner trust from management teams
 Strong project management skills that will help management prioritize and implement critical project
 High professional integrity and sound business judgment
 The adaptability, resourcefulness, and work ethic needed to thrive on a small team without perfect systems and data
 An entrepreneurial, hands-on, problem-solving attitude

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Identification of opportunities in inventory planning, strategic sourcing and material control
 Support in evaluating deals, conducting due diligence, and assessing management of potential portfolio companies
 Assist company management in developing growth strategies, operational controls and strategic plans that maximize shareholder value
 Oversee implementation of the Value Creation Plan, post-closing reporting, and hiring starting on Day 1 of ownership
 Support company management with improving day-to-day operations, execution capabilities, and cost competitiveness, particularly in their Supply Chain function (demand planning, procurement and inventory control)

REQUIREMENTS

 Proven track record of success implementing significant, quantifiable improvements in cost management, inventory and supply chain management
 Expertise in planning/material management, including contemporary tools, and/or sourcing
 Experience leading the transition of a business designed to support a smaller / entrepreneurial operation into one that is more structured and systemic, with management systems, processes, procedures, metrics, etc. to allow effective and efficient management and scalability
 Purchasing experience with spend over $50M
 Minimum of 12 years’ work experience in supply chain with five years of executive level responsibility
 Experience in a PE-backed company and APICS certification a plus
 Extensive travel will be required
