Objectives and Key Deliverables
The client is a private equity firm in Germany. They are researching a researching a company that is involved in the manufacturing of turbo chargers in the automotive industry.
In particular you are interested in the sensor units that are used in turbo chargers. These sensors count the revolutions per minute which can be used to assess the health of the turbo charger, and overall the health of the engine.
The client wants to speak with experts that can help them understand the purchasing criteria (“why to buy from A as opposed to B”) and possible differentiators between individual suppliers in this space.
These differentiators might relate to technical characteristics of the sensor units but may also include factors such as electrical interfaces, ancillary products (testing units, tachometers) or customer support.
Expert call to help the client get up to speed on the purchasing criteria / customer preferences, when it comes to these sensors / turbochargers
Experience in a purchasing function at one of the following companies would be ideal (BorgWarner, Honeywell, IHI, Mitsubishi and Cummins).
Geographies of interest are the US and Europe.
