Background & Objectives

This challenging and interesting project is set in the context of a corporate transformation with the objective of significantly improving the effectiveness and efficiency of operations under the umbrella of a growth strategy. Having recently come under new ownership, the intention is now to increase competitiveness even further to be able to outperform less dynamic competitors. The organisation competes against larger players with greater scale economies and must become more efficient. In addition considerable transformation is needed to establish itself in future growth markets, as well as for product development to align the portfolio with future customer requirements. In order to fund these changes, without new financial injections, the firm must find productivity improvements in other areas. A broad range of strategic initiatives have been defined as part of the new strategy and this specific project is aimed at improving the organisational performance, starting with the service organisation

Key deliverables

Phase 1: Baseline, identify and prioritise improvement potential (cost and efficiency, including headcount, process and structure)
• Phase 2: Pilot implementation of top priority initiatives
• Phase 3: Roll-out best practice across service function
