Objectives and Key Deliverables
We are are a global private equity firm looking to add an interim junior resource in one of our UK portfolio companies, to be based in London, for 6 months.
The candidate will support our company's marine segment on strategic and tactical pricing initiatives across product solutions and geographies and report to the Chief Commercial Officer. Key responsibilities include:
i. Retrieve data from the internal systems (ERP, CRM, BI) and external environments in robust analytical data models;
ii. Conduct and present analyses on key performance indicators from (i), including on volume, prices and margins trends relative to quotes, orders and invoiced sales and provide commentary on opportunities and risks;
iii. Provide recommendations for new initiatives to promote overall profitability;
iv. Monitor performance of the strategic initiatives that have been or will be implemented in the Marine Division, and providing analysis and commentaries on backward (quote win rates) and forward looking (response time to quotes) indicators;
v. Communicate findings to relevant stakeholders across the organisation;
vi. Preparation of presentations ad hoc financial analysis / modelling for strategic initiatives.
More generally, the resource will work with management and support the group-wide’s analytical efforts in broader initiatives with high-value impact potential on revenue and bottom-line.
The ideal candidate is someone who can work independently in retrieving data from the company’s ERP systems, and conducting excel-based analyses on key performance indicators. As a result, proficiency on excel, VBA and database management systems (Microsoft access, Power BI or equivalent) are a must, while experience on visualisation software (e.g. Tableau) is considered favourably.
We’d ideally look at candidates from a corporate analytical function or consultancy firm, performing a relevant role to the position.
