Objectives and Key Deliverables

We are a Los Angeles based boutique consultancy firm focused on the entire M&A investment lifecycle. From the initial transaction to the subsequent transition and transformation of the business.

We have an urgent need for extra support in conducting financial due diligence within M&A projects. Our client base and number of projects are constantly increasing, as such we require extra bandwidth within the FDD function(s) specifically.

Our offices are in LA and Chicago, and occasional presence on-site would be needed, however the majority of FDD work can be done remotely, with some travel to client site.

This is currently an interim requirement with an FDD focus, but with significant scope to transition to a permanent role with the following responsibilities and duties:

General management of engagements and client relationships, providing direction and assignment of tasks to colleagues, and communicating with clients throughout the process
Design and develop workstreams, often involving complex quantitative analysis and detailed financial models at various granularity levels to drive operational and transactional insights
Perform final quality control of client deliverables and lead the presentation of deliverables
Lead meetings and conference calls in financial and business due diligence to assist with various investment and growth decisions
Perform detailed analysis and synthesize actionable insights from data sets and unstructured information sources
Effectively and efficiently communicate with Senior Vice Presidents, Principals and Managing Directors in status updates of engagements
Begin to participate in developing client relationships and other business development functions
This position requires 35% - 65% travel. Timing is immediate with market compensation.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
The candidate should have undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or other related fields and any post graduate degree, including MAC or MBA. The candidate should have 5 - 10 years of prior work experience and started their career with a national investment bank, accounting or consulting firm and have recent experience with private equity, M&A and transaction services, corporate finance, or FP&A. In addition to strong technical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, the candidate should be:

Proactive, motivated and a self-starter with the ability to work in demanding environments
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail
Ability to provide solution-based alternatives
Excellent written, presentation, leadership, and interpersonal communications skills
Highly organized with strong project management skills
