Our client is a family office that invests in – among
other things – start-ups, seed-funding and growth businesses.Their current portfolio includes healthcare,
utilities, aviation, hospitality, real-estate and a some other opportunistic
investments.

Our client is looking at developing a seed-funding process for the
Indian market – almost more like an Angel fund involving some of our Directors
personally. The client aims to make money but also aid economic development and share opportunity. We want to understand existing seed-funding models in India and what works and
doesn’t work. The client has concerns that any classic VC model has too high transaction costs for this. The consultant must have experience of Indian Markets, especially small entrepreneurial businesses and start up, and good networks to find and reach existing seed funds.
