Objectives and Key Deliverables

Our client is a strategy
consulting firm. They specialise in conducting market research such as
benchmarking and identification of best practices, evaluating new markets,
analyzing the launch of new products and due diligence support. They also provide

fill this important client-facing role in the Northeast.


This person will:


Work closely with other team members on the East
Coast – including the SVP Research based in Boston – to lead the development of
the client base by identifying and developing accounts

Own client relationships from inception (initial
contact), development, through contracting, project delivery and ongoing client
reviews. The goal is to develop and grow long-term relationships.

Work in conjunction with delivery leadership to
oversee multiple ongoing projects at once (e.g. ensuring work plans, client
communication and quality of work done by the project team is on track and that
the client’s needs are being met by the project delivery teams via frequent

Mentor and guide the professional development of
global project delivery teams


Job Requirements

At least 4 years of experience in strategy
consulting, market research or an equivalent amount of experience working for a
large company in a business development, marketing or strategy role. You must
be comfortable working with complex projects and our clients need to identify
you as someone whose judgment they can trust

A high level of comfort with proactively
networking and meeting new people; sales or business development experience is
a plus

Experience developing and managing a pipeline of

A proven ability to build trust in long-term
business relationships across functions

Very strong analytical and strategic thinking
skills that enable critical insights from data and research

Very strong account management and communication

Highly driven and a proven self-starter with
excellent project management skills and the ability to work independently in a
lightly-structured environment

Ability to travel

Based out of the New York or Boston offices

Strong familiarity with advanced or emerging
research techniques (primary and secondary) is a plus

Deep industry experience and contacts in one or
more core industry verticals is a plus, particularly high technology, life
sciences, consumer products and financial services

Well-connected relationships with people who
work for targeted companies in relevant roles is a plus
