Objectives and Key Deliverables
Global retail supply chain company looking for Computer Graphic Design consultant to lead several high priority projects. We are looking for someone that has expertise to develop a Centre of Excellence (CoE) that comes from a background of animation, VFX (Visual Effects) or gaming to create photoreal content. This needs to be a senior hands on generalist consultant with experience in modeling, texturing and lighting. This consultant will provide training to existing CoE team on repeatable best practices to achieve high quality results that align with the capabilities of the teams, requirements of the clients and budgets. Consultant will be responsible for setting up training sessions and leading teams over a period of 8-12 months.
Our preference is for consultants located in Hong Kong but open to remote + travel situation for the right candidates. We expect the candidate to be based in HK for 1-2 months initially and complete the rest of the work remotely working on APAC hours.
The CG Lead is a senior and hands-on generalist
Bring expertise in both technical and creative aspects of CG production while working in collaboration with our product developers and pipeline software developers.
Define standardized methods of achieving high quality creative looks for CoE media
Virtual material creation
Mentoring the product developers in achieving and systematizing high quality results
Expertise in one of the following 3D applications:
Maya, Blender, Houdini, 3DS Max
Expertise in one of the following 3D renderers
Vray, Blender Cycles, KeyShot
Practical knowledge of industry specific applications
CLO, Browzwear, Vizoo
Ability to prototype new workflows and look development
Nice to have:
Generalist skill-set with a comprehensive understanding of the CG process from modelling; rigging through to lighting; rendering.
Experience working with textures and virtual materials
Knowledge of cloth simulation and caching techniques
