Objectives and Key Deliverables

We are a private equity with more than €500m of assets under management. We are a team of reliable partner for sellers in more than 200 transactions and have created significant value for our portfolio companies, management and, ultimately, for our own investors. We focus on Buy & Build strategies, where we build larger, mostly international, market leaders from small German SMEs over 5-7 years. On average, our portfolio companies grow by 10% per year in terms of employees, sales and earnings. Currently we have 27 portfolio companies.

(Interim-) Group Controller Private Equity

We are looking for someone for the following tasks:
• Expert advice to the controlling departments of approx. 27 companies in the DA-CH region
• Coordination of planning, forecasting and reporting processes
• Monitoring of the monthly / quarterly / annual financial statements of the companies
• Implementation of group-wide controlling instruments and Standards in collaboration with PE 'investment team and finance department
• Building a single reporting system for all portfolio companies
• Carrying out fund reporting to our investors
• Defining typical business KPIs
• Generating cross-portfolio group synergies

We are looking for someone with the following profile:
• Professional experience in the area of controlling, accounting, auditing, tax consulting or similar content
• High IT-affinity and versed handling of different systems (eg Sage KHK, Navision, Lucanet, Datev , etc.) as well as very good Excel skills
• Strong analysis skills and numerical understanding as well as an independent, structured way of working
• Experience in medium-sized companies is an advantage
• High willingness to travel (about 50%)

We will consider interim proposals but would love to have the person join full time. Please note that the compensation refers to a full year compensation without the variable part – hence we are looking for juniors rather than seniors.
