Objectives and Key Deliverables
We are a non profit foundation that has already built a hospital building in Karbala, Iraq. The hospital has a 145 bed capacity and is planned to house departments including: Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Intensive Care and Coronary Care Units, Diagnostic Laboratory, and an Outpatient Clinic to name a few.
Presently the foundation is exploring various alternatives to secure financing and funds to purchase the requisite equipment for the cardiology department and internal medicine as well as an outpatient clinic to commence operations.
We seek a consultant who has had exposure to a single payer healthcare system, particularly within the Middle East, to conduct analysis into how to best secure funding for the needed equipment at a reasonable cost and to build a financial model based on certain parameters and assumptions for the first five years of operation.
We would like to have the consultant provide us with a fixed cost for the entire project, which includes T&E (Travel and expenses) to Karbala, Iraq.
We are looking for a Powerpoint presentation (at least 10-15 slides) that will outline the financing mechanisms and alternatives that are available to us given our situation (e.g. located in the Middle East, Non Profit Foundation, etc.)
Also an Excel financial model that projects our first five years of operations based on the assumptions and information we will provide to the consultant.
The ideal consultant should have the following qualifications:
Considerable exposure to the healthcare field, in particular, hospital operations
Experience with the healthcare system in the Middle East region.
Knowledge of Arabic and/or working in the Middle East is a definite plus.
