Objectives and Key Deliverables

We are an official body within the framework of the city of London, working to develop partnerships between London and major cities around the world to facilitate the growth of start-ups, scale-ups, and small and medium-sized businesses.

We have already started building partnerships with a number of cities globally and are looking to launch the programme in mid-late Q1 2017. To accomplish this, we are looking to bring in a right hand (wo)man to assist the project manager to get this progamme underway, leading up to the launch. It will be working in a two of two (yourself and the project manager).

Post the EU Referendum, we are being approached by a wide range of international cities who are keen to enter into “strategic partnership” with London.
Rather than respond reactively we believe that it is in London’s interests to develop and implement a proactive strategy of city to city relationships and prioritise those that are likely to add the most value to London’s economy, its job market, growth KPIs and the Mayor’s political objectives. The overarching objective is to develop two-way, mutually beneficial trade and investment relationships.

To build these relationships we will need a partnership with the private sector to deliver an impact e.g. professional service advisers, providers of co-working spaces, VCs, and mentors.

It is evident that a Global cities to cities relationship creates tangible outcomes that introduce ecosystems that work closely together for the benefit of all small and medium-sized businesses. There will be a number of global cities targeted from Berlin, Atlanta through to NYC and Sydney

Assist project manager with the build phase connecting to Global cities and setting up the programme. The project has been broken down to Think-Build-Launch-Run-Renew have a good handle on process.

Please provide a quote on costings for 2 days a week based at my office or shared workspace (Central London)
