Background & Objectives

We are considering opening a new operation in the UK and would like to recruit a Business Development Manager who will be responsible for generating new leads among new and existing customers by identifying new opportunities, gathering and interpreting clients requirements, composing and presenting appropriate solutions and ensuring customers satisfaction through all stages of the development process.

This role is both strategic and business development. We need a client who can create a business plan for how to grow the business and well as going out and winning the business.

The compensation will be a base salary (for the 12-month period) and a performance-based bonus structure on top. The bonus will be discussed with the CEO directly.

Key deliverables

• Establish and maintain strong relationship with existing clients
• Be aware and in pursuit of opportunities in the market to increase company’s chances to bid for new projects and increase its customer portfolio
• Identify new potential clients, plan and organize sales calls and visits
• Collect and understand customers’ requirements and tender documents when appropriate
• Interpret clients’ needs and propose solutions
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations on how the products/solutions will meet clients’ needs
• Participate in the preparation of tender documents & quotations in cooperation with estimation and design team
• Negotiate contracts and close sales after agreement on the terms & conditions
• Responsible for coordinating with the presales for communication with clients
• Continuously develop studies related to competitors' performance, product ranges and prices
• Prepare weekly/monthly sales reports for the head office in Beirut
• Ensure sales targets are met on quarterly basis

Consultant requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent
• Five to seven years of experience of which a minimum of three years in sales and business development
• Strong presentation and demonstration skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong Writing report skills
• Knowledge in Electrical and or Mechanical Systems
