Objectives and Key Deliverables

This is an urgent hire, looking for the right candidate (Within commuting distance to Hammersmith, London) to start next week on a 3 month contract with the view to offer a permanent contract (£50,000 - £70,000 Package)Our Client is a
industry innovating business which was founded 2 years ago with the
purchase the UK’s leading online professional
training provider. They have over 30,000 active students, our client combines the
proven experience of the category leader with the commercial understanding and
connections of a progressive private equity group (being backed by an international private investment group which has successfully built
dozens of innovative and entrepreneurial businesses over the last 15 years).Our Client's strategy is to become the global leader in the online education space with significant
market share under both their own brands and through powering learning
platforms for brands leading their fields, including Google as a current
example.  

Our Client is
recruiting a Business Development Manager to support the planned expansion of
the business.  This role will be central
to the expansion of  out client into new markets and business ventures.  This role will also serve as an entry point
into a fast growth and exciting business for an exceptional candidate who has
the potential to progress through the organisation into a senior leadership
position. 

Duties and responsibilities
of the Business Development Manager



·        
Helping to define our clients' strategic direction to
deliver profitable growth in the UK and internationally

·        
Identifying and negotiating partnership deals to
help our client deliver quickly on the defined strategy

·        
Project managing the launch and incubation of these
new Partnership businesses and supporting their growth

·        
Identifying and delivering upon other operational
business improvement opportunities as they arise.  For example, finding a way to secure Government
funding for students studying with our client or launching a new learning
technology platform.

Revenue growth and profit generation from new initiatives

This role will
be central to the future success of our client. 
It requires an exceptional candidate, ideally somebody with broad based
commercial and operational background.

 

Experience &
skills


Extensive project management and delivery experience.
Sound commercial experience, including involvement in managing a
P&L and delivering daily results in a consumer facing business.
Well developed financial and analytical skills.  Highly numerate and very comfortable
with spreadsheets and models.
Experience in defining and communicating business strategy.
Experience in working in a fast paced privately owned business
undergoing major change.
