Our client is a market leading metal foundry and heavy steel
manufacturer servicing the automotive industry in Europe.
The client would like to define the most effective product portfolio
for 2 business lines; car industry and off-road machinery. The fundamental question – What products should they should produce
in the future? In order to maximise sales, and leverage core competencies. Low
cost production, high impact sales. Manufacturing is based in the Netherlands, and serves local
market and France, UK, Germany, etc.
They are looking for a consultant to analyse current portfolio. What is really possible?
What is available?
Good education, some experience with
this type of industry, does not have to be foundry or heavy metal industry,
knowing how the process industry goes from A-Z helps to understand these things,
quite simple role, as have suppliers, make something, get money quick from
clients, every business is like this, how to make it profitable and win
Foundry – or heavy steel – process industry
Could come from tier 1 consulting firms, 2-3 years experience, they have the way to work fast, and execute things fast, my own
thinking and past experience, facing in production units.
Could be done partly onsite, and also remote.
Not sure yet, interview customers, or so, could
be done remotely.
Part of the work analysis can writing the report’s
participating in the meetings in person, spending time with the people.
English is sufficient; people don’t need to feel
with struggling with English.
