Objectives and Key Deliverables

Client is a UK manufacturer of cutting equipment used in the sign & display market.

Its sole US distributor represents about a third of the company's sales but is not meeting growth expectations (volumes declined in recent years).

Client would like an external review of the US distributor. Interested also in exploring the Spanish speaking market (US & LatAm), as this might be an area of oversight with the current distributor.

This will include analysis of performance, interviews with owner/staff of the distributor, customers, and non-customer market participants. The staff and customers will be introduced by the distributor, but the consultant will need to source the other interviews.

The deliverable will be a report on the distributor's market position, advice on what its growth potential is, and recommendations about what it should do to deliver maximum growth.
