Objectives and Key Deliverables

Background

M+D is organizing a series of roundtable dinner conversations on behalf of a marquee business media brand, in five cities in the US and Europe. These discussions, which revolve around technology and other trending business topics, will include 20 senior executives from large companies from a range of industries, and will be moderated by a notable magazine editor. Our agency is responsible for the content strategy and audience development.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced and sophisticated audience development specialist to secure approximately 20 senior executives (VP-level and above) for a dinner event in London in October TBD. These participants will be invited to attend the upscale dinner and conversation free of charge. This is a contract position lasting three months that will require approximately 10 hours/week – to invite, register, and manage participants all the way through the physical event. The right candidate will have deep marketing and audience development experience, especially for high-level media conferences and other intellectual events, and will know how to pitch business leaders on why they should take the time to attend an intimate networking dinner. A keen ability to leverage social media is a must!

Scope of work

• Develop target lists that match client expectations (VP-level and above from large companies with 500 million+ revenue)
• Advise on acquisition of any potential list rentals that will help secure qualified attendees and manage the process
• Liaise with client to manage development of creative materials, such as invitations, digital media, and other promotional outreach
• Lead ongoing outreach and follow-ups to select attendees and audiences with customized correspondence promoting the dinners and its content
• Develop and manage social media to directly engage with participants and help promote the experience
• Manage post-event correspondence to ensure strong long-term relationship building for the client
