Objectives and Key Deliverables
Our client is a leading European manufacturer of time switches.In the past, Brazil as a market and the customers have been taken care of by an export sales manager with residence in Germany who sporadically visited Brazil and the customer. No personal relationship has been established due to frequent changes in that position and due to the fact that Brazil in the past, has not been a focal point for the business.Now however the client has a dedicated export sales manager based in Tampa/Florida in charge sales into Latin America, incl. Brazil. He is supported by a dedicated customer service department and other functions based in Europe.Their current sales volume into Brazil does not reflect the potential this huge and growing market offers to our product lines which is mainly driven by the level of construction, infrastructure and industrial production.They believe they should be able to significantly increase our market share and hence sales volume in Brazil over time by entering into the distribution market and by increasing our customer base on the OEM side.
The project is to identify potential additional OEM customers in Brazil in industries that we serve typically outside Brazil already and potential distributors or agents that may be suited to work with us.The candidate must be based in Brazil as some visits to the client's site are required.
