Objectives and Key Deliverables
The company is a leading producer of polyurethane foam for a huge variety of applications. They are going through restructuring and require interim support, in the form of a General Manager, to help run a key production facility for 3-6 months whilst looking for a long term / permanent replacement.
- To lead and oversee all plant operations.
- To align the organisation structure, employee accountabilities and objectives to the strategic and operational aims of the wider division.
The GM is responsible for supporting the Regional Director and other executive team members in discerning and implementing the plant's operational strategy. As head of the site, this involves providing expertise and leadership on key operational questions such as capacity planning; supporting discussions of where and when to invest in new equipment or other manufacturing capability.
The General Manager is responsible for driving operational efficiencies across the business through leading appropriate initiatives to improve Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People performance. The GM reports into the Regional Director for DE & NL and following functions report into the GM – Production, Quality, Maintenance & Repair, Safety, Procurement, Facility Management IT & Finance.
The role is based in Memmingen and has a duration of 3-6 months.
