Objectives and Key Deliverables
We have built a new manufacturing plant but industry prices in the country have, 4 years down the road from when the original business case was approved, significantly decreased. We may not long term (and for sure not short term) be profitable with the current commercial setup and product line up.
We have internally gathered a significant amount of data to create a China 5 year plan but needs the material structured into a strategy presentation which needs to be done by end of February. The deliverable is therefore a concise commercial strategy that shows our Board how we can become profitable over the next 5 year period and needs to include:
- SWOT (basically): what gaps do we have and how do we address them
- product mix needed
- organisational setup
- volume, revenue and profit projections with and without actions on gaps
Concretely, we imagine one consultant who can take the material we have, get it into a good shape, include market research when it comes in February, and further identify what we are missing to create the commercial strategy. We imagine this can be done in 1-1 1/2 month as it is more about framing an existing setup rather than fundamentally creating something from a blank piece of paper.
