Objectives and Key Deliverables
We are a major International Energy Company
This position is responsible for the definition and maintenance of the standards of Project Management and process.
Support the successful delivery of programs, re-organization undertaken by the function through effective facilitation, tracking and reporting.
Assist with the advising managers and teams on the best use of project management disciplines and approaches and act as the first point of contact for any program management queries within the function. Will need to manage within a highly ambiguous environment with complex stakeholders, and very short timelines.
The activities of the PMO are centralized around advice and guidance, monitoring and assurance, advocacy and education with respect to projects, and their delivery to councilors, executives, project managers and staff at all levels. Additionally, this will include a reporting framework focused on value-added advice and early identification of risk and issues for major projects across the function.
Clearly responsible for their functional areas of expertise the incumbent is also expected to think and act in the wider context and interests of the function and the Company Group.
Programme background: A program to reorganise a global part of the business, with process changes, reductions in staffing, and moving of activities to new locations. The PMO will need to have an experience in managing within a highly ambiguous environment with complex stakeholders, and very short timelines.
