Objectives and Key Deliverables

**Please note -this is not a marketing project. This is an Interim Trading Director project. Consultants must have sales/commercial experience**

We are an automotive company supplying retailers and trade companies. Due to unfortunate circumstances, we are urgently looking for an Interim Trading Director to join our team for 3 months initially (could be as long as 6-months).

Overview: Approximately 50% of our business is with UK retailers. The remaining 50% is with trade companies (e.g. garages where cars are repaired) and International (retailers around Europe). We develop and supply the automotive aftermarket. There is a fair degree of seasonality with this business (the types of automotive products that people are looking for in the winter is different from that of the summer).

Company structure: The Interim Trading Director will report to the CEO of the company. There is a marketing director, so this role should not clash with that person.

This opportunity is based in Leeds. We are willing to pay travel and expense for someone in the UK to work out of Leeds however, the consultant must be willing to be based out of Leeds for the project.

Work with retailers to get the right products on the right shelves
Work internally with the product development, marketing, and sales teams to get the right products out
Develop strategy and launch new products

>Experienced head of marketing and sales, Head of Commercial/Chief Commercial Officer, Trading Director
>Proven track record of success in marketing and sales (not just marketing)
>Experience working with FMCG retailers -preference for a consultant with experience working for a supplier of FMCG retailers
-Must have good understanding of how retailers interact with suppliers and how to manage seasonal work
>Experience working as head of marketing and sales for a Small and Medium-sized company
>Good communicator
>This role is very hands on -not just coming up with the strategy, but also implementing it themselves
