Objectives and Key Deliverables

Working closely with the CEO, the interim CFO will play a lead role in securing series A funding and project managing the fundraising process. The interim CFO will prepare and test detailed financial models, ensuring consistency across a range of robust assumptions, particularly sales forecasts and pricing scenarios. He or she must prepare the presentation and supporting investor documentation for the pitch deck and have complete command and understanding of all the assumptions and projections made. Specifically, they will need to be able to defend those assumptions during the due-diligence process.
This person will be involved with the CEO and non-exec chairman in identifying suitable investors, initiating contact and arranging pitch meetings. He or she will manage subsequent follow up meetings and take the lead in negotiating term sheets from prospective investors by June 2019. The interim CFO will lead the due diligence and legal process through to completion of the funding, which should happen not later than December 2019.
