Objectives and Key Deliverables
McCann iO, McCann's contemporary consulting practice is entrusted with a seat at the executive table of global, regional and local clients based on our ability to not just understand and recommend effective customer experience, growth and innovation strategies, but be sufficiently creatively minded and action oriented to bring the transformative agenda proposed into the real world.
We're looking for a Strategist to serve as Transformation Consultants as part of our exciting new business transformation proposition.
Consulting leads are the lynchpins of our project teams. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams (client leads, programme leads, experience designers, technologists and creatives) to uncover whitespace opportunities and design new experiences, propositions and innovation programmes. You will be responsible for discrete deliverables and contribute to their assembly into actionable strategies to help transform our clients’ businesses.
We expect our consulting leads to have analytical, curious and creative minds, that are coupled with keen commercial expertise and in-depth understanding of developing new business cases. You will create aspirational big ideas and actionable strategies.
On any given day you could be:
-Developing market sizing models to quantify new opportunity spaces.
-Designing and conduct consumer research (primary and secondary) to understand how technology influences behaviour.
-Conducting stakeholder interviews with mid-to-senior level clients and synthesise them into useful insights about our clients’ situation.
-Performing competitive, landscape and market analyses to understand how businesses and industries are changing in response to technology and consumer trends.
-Helping quantify opportunities, both internally and with clients to understand what constitutes a big idea or a small one, what could transform a product, service or a category, and what is right for the challenge at hand.
-Contributing to whitespace opportunities and deliver innovative new business models.
-Continuously researching disruptive industries, consumer interests, and business trends.
-Providing thought leadership to our clients in addition to the internal iO and McCann teams, and contribute to McCann iO's POV on and approach to transformation consulting.
-3-5 years of experience in a consulting or strategy role
-Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; MBA preferred
-Strong analytical and financial modelling skills likely picked up from prior consultancy experience
-Confident building revenue and forecast models - familiar with such constructs as TAM, SAM and SOM
-A curious and creative mind – someone who is equally excited and adept at solving creative challenges.
-Tangible case studies of innovation you helped launch on behalf of large clients
-Exceptional listening skills, with an ability to ask the right questions and uncover hidden insights.
-Analyze and unpack business model mechanics, seeking relevant innovations that large corporate clients are uniquely qualified to deliver
-Optimism, and an inventive and entrepreneurial spirit
-Ability to collaborate with people from very different functional backgrounds
