Objectives and Key Deliverables

We are a private equity backed travel management company.

We are seeking a Project Manager for a fixed term contract of 12 Months in London and/or Manchester.

The ideal candidate will have a broad background in transformation project management and be highly-skilled in managing multiple projects with varying complexity from initiation through closure.

Responsible for the full project lifecycle, you'll develop credible plans and drive them to a successful conclusion within strict deadlines. And, throughout, you'll display strong, natural leadership and be able to handle often- conflicting demands.

 Experience of delivering large business transformation projects & programmes
 5 years plus experience of delivering significant strategic change within the business
 Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
 Full project lifecycle management and demonstrable successful delivery
 Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving environment with minimal supervision

Job Description

 To plan and deliver end to end a broad range of transformational projects associated with strategic change and technology enhancements
 Control programmes / projects to achieve a high quality deliverable, within agreed timelines, and within agreed budget and project tolerances
 To create, manage and motivate the combined internal and external project team, including consultants and stakeholders, to ensure effective delivery in accordance with the project objectives
 To appraise delivery and project outcomes in order to improve project management / agile processes and achieve overall increased stakeholder satisfaction through best practice and lessons learnt
 To define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle

Responsibilities include

 Manage medium / large complex projects with senior stakeholders within the business
 Define project scope, realistic timelines support the creation of business cases and resource planning
 Develop and manage project plans, manage project milestones, dependencies and critical path planning
 Organizing and facilitating project planning and delivery e.g. Project Initiation Documentation, RACI documentation, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
 Ensure a rigorous process is in place for stage-gate reviews and manage to clearly understood success criteria
 Chair working groups and supporting the creation of appropriate inputs and outputs
 Support Product Owners with managing and planning product delivery schedules
 Assist with negotiations with 3rd party suppliers and vendors and demonstrate value for money spent / budgeted where required
 Work with managers and teams to accurately estimate the skills, resources and infrastructure required to deliver the project goals
 Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team, escalating appropriately when necessary
 Maintain and track a RAID register for the projects to maintain delivery focus
 Manage cross programme and project dependencies and interdependencies
 Manage all project-related communication to the highest standard
 Overall document management and status reporting of progress to plan
 Assist our Senior Management Team in the development and review of new ideas to project kick off stage.

About You

You will have the following experience/skills:
 Extensive experience working in a fast growing business environment and experience of project work
 Proven experience within a structured framework delivering / working on projects
 Experience at working both in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and independently
 Proven stakeholder management
 Experience in the identification, assessment and management of risks
 Strong MS Office Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
 Have worked successfully in organizations that have used both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
