Objectives and Key Deliverables
The Client is looking for a modelling and analysis of the costs and benefits to individual
cities due to the introduction of new energy targeting laws. The key focus will be on different combinations of GHG targets
(including access to international credits), renewable and other energy supply
targets, and energy efficiency targets. As well as showing resource/energy
system costs, the model
should be able to examine other key outputs such as emissions, carbon prices,
electricity prices, and energy mix by fuel.
The analysis should also be
able to provide an assessment of the benefits of different scenarios, for
example from improved air quality, health, and diversity of energy supply. This
work will consist of two work packages, comprising two sets of different
scenarios to model, with the first being delivered by end September 2013, and
the second by end of October 2013.
Both work packages should be
suitable for potential publication at the time of delivery, subject to later
apply should you match at least ALL of the following criteria.
