Objectives and Key Deliverables


Medium sized, global, Consulting Organisation with fabulous industry reputation is looking to create a step change in it's capability to market it's offerings. Historically, the company has not invested in marketing and is not as well known as it should be given the quality and impact of it's work, and changing this has been earmarked as a strategic priority for 2016.

The organisation has undertaken an internal survey of 35 people to gain a sense of the key priorities and is now looking for support for a 2-3 month project to take on the following work:-

1). Complete a high level SWOT analysis, through the eyes of a marketing professional, to go alongside the internal survey
2). Define what outcome should be possible over the next 18-24 months if the organisation really adopts a different approach to marketing
3). Define the plan at a very high level - say Q Milestones for the next 18-24 months
4). Help the key leaders decide if they should hire into the role, hire an agency or a combination of both
5) Set key Criteria for hiring / agency requirements depending on which route is taken
6). Declare their interest in the role (or not!); help interview potential candidates
7). Establish the annual on-going budget for marketing - both resources and other investments

Key Outputs (Need to be delivered face to face and working in conjunction with the key managers). This can be in the form of a final presentation, but it is expected that there will be other material generated through the process e.g. detail behind the SWOT analysis or 18-24 month plan:-
- SWOT analysis
- 18-24 month potential outcomes (both tangible and intangible measures)
- High Level 18-24 month plan
- Recommended approach to hiring and key criteria
- Recommended on-going budget

The main offices are in London and Austin, TX with others around the global. Likely that the project will be run out of London and also open to considering a US based consultant. The company works globally, so specific local market knowledge is not vital but a nice to have
