Objectives and Key Deliverables
We are one of the world’s largest branded media companies with more than 60 iconic brands in the UK creating content for multiple platforms. We are well advanced in our ambition to transform the way we engage with our customers through leveraging our brands, content, audience insight and data to develop new products and services and drive new revenues. Our approach has been focused on a handful of verticals to date with a disciplined approach to both organic and acquisitive growth. We are now moving to the next set of verticals and have ambition to build a leading position in the food and beverage sector and in order to do so we need to flex resource.
We have developed a number of hypotheses to inform our emerging strategy. These must now be validated and will include sizing the addressable market in key territories, customer preferences, likely competitor landscape, digital trends and potential acquisition targets. This will inform the development of a high level road map (build, partner, buy) which will allow the strategy to be executed with speed as well as underpin a high level business plan which will stand up to interrogation.
The first phase is four weeks duration and may be followed by a request for implementation support.
Evidence based validation of key hypotheses that support our proposed strategy – to include market sizing, customer and competitor insight, perspectives on potential acquisition candidates
A ‘high level’ road map with proposed budgets, resourcing, timings to execute our emerging strategy in this vertical
At least 3 – 5 years strategy experience at a leading consulting firm
Ideally, new venture exposure within existing large corporations
International experience is highly desirable, in particular Europe, N. America and China.
The consultant must be available to meet with stakeholders at least 1-2 times per week in London and should therefore be UK based
