Objectives and Key Deliverables

We are a young Dutch publishing company with a strong brand and product portfolio that is being distributed in the Netherlands and throughout the world. For the acquisition of strategic partners, we need support in our development of a strong commercial country strategy with in depth channel analysis (on- vs. offline) and corporate strategy, highlighting the development of our brand, the product portfolio expansion, as well as our intentions to develop and grow a foot print in the retail sector in our home market.

You will need to prepare a deck including competitive environment, benchmark analysis, gap analysis, strategic development and execution plan with priorities, timeframe, milestones and resources, as well as a high level financial budget planning and investments needed for the CEO and strategic advisor of our company by the end of March 2017.

Primary Requirements:
• Big 4 or top tier consultancy background (minimum of 5 years experience)
• Highly analytical, detail oriented and strong business sense; proven ability to manage new ideas and creative solutions
• Strong track record in communicating

Secondary requirements (‘strong advantages’):
• Previous experience working in the retail sector (or publishing business)
• Familiarity with brand and brand development
• High level country retail channel expertise and/or category management
• Competitive landscape: who, where and how for Best Practice strategy development

Location can be chosen by the consultant. He needs to be onsite for some meetings at our office in Delft. There is a possible follow up project for strategic sparring with the CEO on an on demand basis. Key for this follow up role is that the management is able to develop trust in consultant’s strategic work and strong ethical center.
