Objectives and Key Deliverables

We require an Interim Project Manager to lead on determining and delivering the system integration needs for Oman’s air cargo community, including its airports, cargo handling agent, airlines and ground handlers, as well interaction of that with the National Port Community System

Will lead in the formulation and delivery of a key Initiative of the National Air Cargo Strategy designed to improve Oman’s air cargo product through integration of and improvements to the technology elements of air cargo systems, through clear objectives, requirements-gathering, optioneering, cost-benefit analysis, data and BI provision and project management, with stakeholder-management across a fragmented community and also with external stakeholders

Key requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in project delivery
- Demonstrated experience of requirements gathering and project delivery
- Experience of aviation, cargo solutions and logistics an advantage
- Experience of IT systems and analytics an advantage

Drive development of competitive advantage for technology elements of Oman’s air cargo ecosystem, improving information flows, reducing system transaction costs, streamlining customer touchpoints and minimizing the overall number of hours required to complete a transaction

Be the lead in determining the precise objectives of the project, working with relevant business units, to gather requirements for air cargo community system, based on processes required to meet objectives, developing the plan to set up the required integration between systems/technologies as a key tool to increase cargo volumes and sector revenue

Linking all players in air cargo ecosystem to improve customer service, speed and profitability

Review of current status of air cargo technology platforms (including customs), road map and gap analysis, comparison with best-in-class operational excellence, as basis of future plans

Consolidation of air cargo system requirements, optioneering, business case, cost-benefit analysis

Management (if relevant) of procurement processes, for platforms, systems or integration needed between systems, with associated stakeholder management responsibilities

Ongoing liaison with our digital and technology leadership to ensure alignment of cargo ecosystem infrastructure in our digital strategy and technology policies

Project communication, to build understanding of technology issues and build case for investment
