Objectives and Key Deliverables
We are an independent global business advisory firm and we are looking for a consultant to support on a project with a leading European Generics producer.
This is a review of the active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) procurement options available to a leading European Generics producer. As part of this project we want to be able to benchmark, to the extent possible, the procurement leverage and pricing of the key API's and packaging items.
The consultant will need to have specific experience in the procurement of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), 3rd part CDMO/CMO tendering processes and the packaging media. They should have run a sourcing review in a pharmaceutical environment be it GX, OtC or other add ressing the items above. The CoGs on this project sum to c.€350m. The individual involved should be used to working under pressure and on short timelines with limited data but able to provide an informed view based on their experience and any banchmark data they can bring. This is in relation to a due diligence process on behalf of PE investors.
We are looking for a senior-level consultant with around 10 years of experience as a guideline (depending on specialisation). The should either have worked with a large pharma company (ideally Generics) or with a boutique consulting firm with a focus on procurement.
ADDITIONAL PROJECT INFORMATION:
The consultant can either work from home our from our offices in central London. This will not be a client-facing role, i.e. not based on-site with the client.
We don’t expect the consultant to be London based so some element of T&E is not an issue.
This project is at pitch stage, i.e. we have not yet won the project. However, there is a high likelihood of winning the work. We will know more on Wednesday, the 24th of January 2018.
