includes factories in Sweden, Germany, the UK, the USA, India and China, backed
by central support and development functions. They have approached us as they
are looking to hire a Business Improvement Manager.The RoleWorking closely with both the CEO and CFO, this is a high profile position that offers an outstanding opportunity for a fast track focused individual to gain a valuable insight into the functional processes of a dynamic global organisation. You will be engaged on a project basis, providing support where strategic financial and operational information is required, utilising your commercial skills across a diverse and stimulating range of assignments, whilst at the same enjoying direct interaction with board level stakeholders of international client companies. These projects will include:• Perform background work to assess potential acquisition targets and project manage due diligence teams, where potential targets reach this stage in the buying process;• Appraisal and implementation of new business start-up opportunities in emerging markets, such as Brazil;• Lead/participate in business excellence projects, such as capital investments to support cost reduction plans, and assist local teams to cascade best practices around the group;• Provide central support for finance projects such as stock exchange reporting and the roll out of an internal audit programme across the group.
The PersonPossessing a strong financial and commercial skillset and outstanding academics, you will ideally be a qualified accountant with post qualification experience gained within an advisory or project based environment. Key attributes required for the role include:• Project Management skills with the ability to prioritise to complete projects in order meet challenging deadlines. • Proven interpersonal abilities required for successful client engagements and relationships, with the ability to present at Board level• Commercial/Strategic thinker, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in order to drive growth in the business• Flexibility, positive attitude, enthusiasm and excellent problem solving skills• Self-Starter with the ability/confidence to make business decisions • Committed to learning new business tools and methodologies• Strong organisational skillsBasic salary £55,000
